Fundraising Friday

We're entering the home stretch for the St. Jude Country Music Marathon and 1/2 presented by Nissan!!!

Hard to believe in 49 days I will be tackling Nashville yet again.  Let's be real here - last time I ran Nashville I really screwed up.  This time I have a better game plan, including hill training that I have added to my schedule every other week, in hopes that I will be better prepared for the elevation changes.

I know realistically I am not looking at bettering my current half PR from NOLA - so my realistic goal is to beat 2:30, which is my current "Nashville PR" that I set at my very first half marathon, the Women's Running Half in 2012.

What could possibly be better than smashing that goal?  Smashing my fundraising goal along with it.

You may remember that I have signed up once again as a St. Jude Hero and I set my goal for this race to raise $1000.  As of today we are sitting at $255.  #sadface

No patient or family is ever billed for services they receive at St. Jude - so every donation, no matter how big or small, is so very important.  I'm trying to come up with some fun ways to encourage people to donate, maybe a giveaway once I reach a certain amount??  I know everyone loves a good giveaway.  If you have any ideas leave them for me in the comments!

In the meantime, please consider giving just a little bit to such a great cause!  You can get to my fundraising page here.  And thanks in advance!!!

PS - It's not too late to join me in Nashville in April!  Click here to register and be sure to use the code KSMITHRUNS to save $10!
