Dumbo Training: Week 11

Happy Friday everyone!  It's time bring you my weekly Dumbo training recap!

Does anyone else just LOVE how this number keeps getting smaller and smaller???!!!

Plans for our trip to Disneyland for half marathon weekend are in full swing; I have already made two dining reservations for our trip and reserved our transportation to/from the airport.  It's getting so close and I love having everything taken care of so that all I have to do is keep on training!  Here's a look at this week's schedule:

Dumbo Double Dare Training:  Week 11

Tuesday:  45 minute run - 3.92 miles at an 11:28 min/mile pace.  This run ranked right up there with the worst runs I've ever had.  I know this happens but - dang, it sucked.  I got a mysterious pain in my calf a few minutes in that lasted for the first mile or so.  That plus the heat and humidity just really did me in.  

Thursday:  45 minute run - 4.19 miles at a 10:44 min/mile pace.  This run went MUCH better than Tuesday and I feel back on the right track for the week.

Saturday:  4 mile run with 1 Magic Mile - I will be getting up bright and early tomorrow morning to get this one on the books before Owen and I head to Nashville to celebrate our anniversary.  I'll talk more about that next week!  And I'm even more excited because my new shoes should arrive today and I can take them for a test drive!

I have been filling the remaining days with cross training and strength training.  I stuck with my usual elliptical workout on Monday but on Wednesday Jillian was calling my name (she had missed me) so I spent some doing kickboxing with her.  This morning I decided on some strength training followed by a yoga session to relax myself for a hectic evening at work.  I have also been doing the 30 Day Ab Challenge with my Pacebook friends.  I'll talk more about that next week too!
