Dumbo Double Dare Training: Week 13

Happy Friday friends!  I hope you have all had a great week.  My training has gone pretty well this week and I am excited to share it with you!  The next two weeks are going to be hectic for the Smiths as we prepare to send Samantha off to kindergarten.  I'm pretty sure I just choked up writing that sentence.  Prepare to see a LOT about that on the blog as I deal with sending my first born to school.  But until then, let me catch you up on my Dumbo Double Dare training for the week!

I won't bore you with another cheesy I'm excited caption - you guys know this already :)

Dumbo Double Dare Training:  Week 13

Tuesday:  45 minute run - 4.06 miles at 11:05 min/mile pace.  I was drenched in sweat at the end of this one.  I think I need to move somewhere with zero humidity.

Thursday:  45 minute run - 4.08 miles at 11:01 min/mile pace.  I do not know what happened last night but I battled a pretty bad stomach ache for about the first two miles.  I am rather disappointed in my run because the weather was awesome last night and I could've done so much better.  Oh well, it is what it is and I've gotta shake it off.

Saturday:  4 miles with 1 Magic Mile.  I will head out bright and early tomorrow morning to crank this one out.

Monday I did my usual elliptical workout in addition to upper body strength training and the lovely ab challenge.  I forgot to do the ab challenge on Sunday so I am now a day behind but I really think it's making a difference - anyone else out there joined in??  Let me know how it's going for you!   Wednesday I was in the mood to run so I did more speed training on the treadmill - 4x800 at a 10 min/mile pace.  I was extremely pleased to find this wasn't as hard as it used to be - I guess I'm getting stronger!!!  I followed that up with lower body strength.  Today I feel a head cold coming on so I will take the cues from my body and rest.  Sick??  Ain't nobody got time for that.  Especially with a month to go until we head to California!!!
