Bulu Box

"Box" subscriptions are all the rage these days.  I have seen many different types out there and I was never fully convinced to try one until I found on a blog that I follow that I could try Bulu Box free for the first month.  Heck, I'll try anything once, especially if it's free, right??  So I signed up and was super excited when I came home and found this in my mailbox!!!

From their website:
Bulu Box is the first health, nutrition and weight loss discovery box designed to help you feel your best. Each month, you’ll get a custom box filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands to try. Every sample is sufficient enough to decide if the product is right for you.
If you know me you know that health, nutrition, and especially weight loss are pretty important topics to me so Bulu Box sounded like the right box for me!  I couldn't wait to dig into it:

Bulu Box offers two types of boxes:  a regular box and a weight-loss box.  Although I could stand to lose a few more pounds I opted for the regular box.  Here are this month's items:

Shapeology Burn Blend
PowerBar Performance Energy Blends
Vivarin
Ripped Cream Vanilla Coffee Creamer
Zellies Xylitol Mints
Erba Vita Acid Chewable Tablets

So excited about several of these!!

First thing I couldn't wait to try was the Ripped Cream coffee creamer - you guys know how much I love my coffee.  Ripped Cream is a high-protein, all-natural, gluten-free coffee creamer.  I've really been trying to stick with more "real" foods these days so it fit that requirement and also provides extra protein that I need as a runner; it also contains 50% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin D3 and 11 amino acids.  When I opened it the first thing I thought was that it smelled really sweet, and I don't like my coffee to be TOO sweet so I decided to use only half the package.  It looked at first like the product didn't dissolve completely but it did and it had a great taste to it; I think I could have used the whole package in one cup but I still liked the flavor.  I would like to give the chocolate flavor a try too!!

Next thing I used was the PowerBar Energy Blends.  Two flavors came in my box:  Apple Mango Strawberry and Banana Blueberry.  I decided to take the Apple Mango Strawberry on my 11 miler this past Sunday and I really enjoyed it!  The flavor was really good, I didn't feel like I was eating an energy product; it actually tasted more like and had the consistency of applesauce.  Again, all natural product here and the pouches were really easy to use and didn't get messy on my fingers like some gel products do.  I still have the banana blueberry flavor to try but I think I could become a regular user of this product!

The only other product I have tried in this month's box is the Shapeology Burn Blend.  This dietary supplement promises to mimic the effects of high metabolism to aid in losing weight.  The directions state to take 1-2 caps in the morning and in the afternoon; I decided to try just 1 cap at a time and did this for the first time yesterday.  Now, I don't know if it's helping me with weight loss just yet but I will tell you that I can tell I have more energy and I am more alert, similar to when I drink a cup of coffee.  As long as I don't suffer any ill effects from trying this sample I would definitely consider buying a regular size in this item.

I am looking forward to trying the other items in my box and the best thing is, after I try each one I go onto my account on Bulu Box's website to complete surveys on the product, for which I receive points to use towards purchasing the regular size of any item I have tried.  You can also get points for referring a friend!  If you are interested in trying Bulu Box I would appreciate you clicking here as using me as a referral :)

I have enjoyed this month's Bulu Box and decided to try a 3 month subscription!  I'm sure I'll be back to tell you all about those when I get them.  Seeing that orange box in my mailbox made me feel like one of my girls on Christmas morning!!!

QOTD:  Do you have a monthly box subscription?

**Disclosure:  I used a published code to receive my first Bulu Box free; I was not compensated for this review by any of the companies represented nor was I asked to blog about it.  Now, if anyone from any of these companies reads this and wants to contact me about working with them, well, I'm very open to that :)
