Let The Training Commence!

I hope you all will indulge me as I begin my countdown to the Dumbo Double Dare!!!
I am a big fan of Jeff Galloway and his walk/run plan so I am sticking with his Dumbo training plan for this race.  You can find the training plan for the Disneyland Half marathon here.  For some reason the training plan for Dumbo isn't on runDisney's website but I found a link to it on another website and I am overall pleased with it - I will be making a few minor adjustments to allow for some speed training and other races I have planned in between but I will be sure to share that with you along the way!

Our countdown as of this morning!!!

Dumbo Double Dare Training Week 1:

Tuesday - 45 minutes

Thursday - 45 minutes

Sunday - Oak Hall Run for St. Jude (3 miles)

Jeff's plan allots for 30 minute runs during the week but I have been doing 45 minutes so I will stick with that.  And as luck would have it I was already registered for the Oak Hall Run this Sunday and he has 3 miles on the schedule - perfect!  I will still recap my workouts on Friday but plan to post my Dumbo training separately so you guys can follow along with me!

I hope you are as excited as I am :)

QOTD:  Who else began a training plan this week?  Please share with me in the comments!

  1. So tell me again what the Dumbo Double Dare is...I've got another month before real marathon training begins

    1. You run the Disneyland 10K on Saturday and the Disneyland Half on Sunday. Which training plan do you use? As soon as Dumbo is over I will start training for St. Jude.
