My First Half Marathon

I am still numb to the fact that I ran my first half marathon on Saturday.  Holy cow!  And not only did I finish strong but I completed it in the EXACT time that I wanted to - 2 hours, 30 minutes.  There were a LOT more hills than I was prepared for - whoever put on the website that it was a "faster, flatter course" was a LIAR - and I finished with a sore arch on my left foot but otherwise I felt great!  Here are some highlights of the weekend (and for some reason these are all turned sideways??  I can't figure out how to fix them so just tilt your head and smile!):

 My bib!

After the race!  I rocked it!

A close up of the medal - this thing is HUGE.  Owen said it looked like something Flava Flav would wear...

After the race we went to Opry Mills and had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.  Sam and Kaleb got to meet Cha Cha, the frog.

Morgan really liked the Rainforest Cafe too, just not Cha Cha ;)

Before coming home on Sunday we met our friend Justin that lives in Nashville for breakfast at a place called Noshville - EXCELLENT food!

The countdown is now reset - 66 days until the St. Jude Marathon!!!!!
