The No Baby - Baby Weight

Time for another weight loss update!!

I am VERY excited to report that I have hit my first goal - to lose the weight I gained during my pregnancy with Morgan.  Yup, you read that right - 31lb down in 4 months!!!  Sorry, I am not generally one to pat myself on the back but I am really excited that I was able to pull the weight off before she was even half a year old!  But now it's time to tackle the next hurdle - what I fondly refer to as "the no baby - baby weight."

The no baby - baby weight is the 36 pounds I gained after my two miscarriages in 2010.  Recall that I discussed this here when I first posted about my weight loss goals.  We are 179 days from our Disney vacation and I have 36lb to get rid of.  That's about 6lb per month, not an unreasonable goal!  I am slowly starting to see the results of my hard work.  My size 14 pants that I bought at the beginning of the year are getting a bit baggy and my closet is slowly becoming a place that I can "clothing shop" for things I haven't worn in a long time.  These things keep me motivated!!!  That, and telling you guys how I'm doing ALSO keeps me motivated :)

On a related note - I made our Disney dining reservations yesterday and could not be more excited about our trip, even though it is 179 days away :)  I have several countdowns going - first up is my first 5K, which is in 24 days!!!  Surely between training for these races and trip planning some more of these stubborn pounds will melt away...
