How's The Weight Loss Going??

It's been awhile since I posted an update on my weight loss goal, so I figured no better time than the present!!


I am very pleased to announce that I have lost 4lb since the beginning of the year! I know that doesn't seem like much, but I have to remember that a HEALTHY weight loss is no more than 1-2lb per week. I seem to be right on track!

Right now I am just watching what I eat. I don't count calories (yet), I just try to make better food choices. I of course have to eat enough to keep up my milk supply for Miss Morgan so when I get hungry, I eat. I try not to eat when I'm just stressed or bored - I wait for the hunger queues and when I get them, I put healthier things in my mouth.  I try to include protein to help keep me fuller for longer periods. 

As far as exercise goes, I am getting about 4 days of activity a week.  I am still doing Couch 2 5 K - I am doing week 4, day 1 this afternoon!  And I do strength training at least one night a week.  I would like to do two nights but with two kids, sometimes I have to take what I can get.  I know my body didn't get this way overnight, so it will take time to get it back to the way it used to look.

I'm am still aiming to be at my Disney weight when we go back in September - I have 215 days to go!!!  Thanks for being my cheerleaders and encouraging me each step of the way.  Don't forget to check out more on my weight loss journey with my buddies over at Will Jog for Cupcakes!
