32 Weeks

Gosh, we are getting so close!  It seems like just yesterday we made our big announcement that this baby was on the way, and now we are just weeks away from her arrival!

I won't lie and tell you this has been an easy pregnancy, because my nose would grow like Pinocchio.  I try my best not to complain though because each little pain is just a sign that our baby is thriving and growing and if the loss of our two babies last year has taught me anything, it's not to take anything for granted.  So I'll take the pains as they come :)

I know I'm getting behind on these updates and I'm sorry!!!  We are just so busy getting ready for her arrival that some times I forget which week I'm in!  So here it is, my 32 week update.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  27lb - erp!

Maternity Clothes:  Yes, and I'm still looking for donations of pants (and maybe some long sleeved shirts!)if anyone has any spares that might help me make it through the next 6-7 weeks w/o having to go shopping.

Gender:  Another beautiful baby girl!!!  Miss Morgan Elizabeth

Movement:   Yes, and loving every single one!

Sleep:  I have officially given up on sleeping through the night until Morgan is several months old.  It just never fails - between 1:30am and 4am I WILL be up for a bathroom break.  It's inevitable.

What I Miss:  Being able to bend over and pick things up with ease...

Symptoms:  My biggest problem these days is something that is "fondly" referred to as "lightening crotch."  I know - that sounds absolutely vulgar but I cannot find an appropriate medical term for it.  It feels almost like a shocking, electrical sensation in my cervix.  And from what I can read online, they are not really sure if it's caused by the baby hitting your cervix, or if it's caused by the cervix starting to thin out (which is called effacement).  More than one person has commented that Miss Morgan seems to have dropped lately, and I do feel her movements a bit further down that in previous weeks.  I just know that when it hits, it HURTS!

Best Moment(s) the past two weeks:  Taking Samantha to sibling class (see my previous post for details/pics on that!)

Worst Moment the past two weeks:   Thankfully, we've had a very uneventful past two weeks so nothing to report here!

Favorite Husband Moment:  I've been busy washing up some of Samantha's old things, mainly clothes, bibs, burp cloths, etc.  Owen and I were both off the Friday before Labor Day so in addition to just hanging out together, we went to the furniture store to get a replacement latch for the crib.  He's anxious to put it together, and he wants Samantha to help him.  It will be so cute!
