22 Weeks

I'm sorry my posts have become so sporadic.  Many days, I pull up to write a new post and just can't think of anything cool to write about - blame it on the baby brain I suppose.  Miss Morgan is gonna be one smart kid, she's taking away all my good brain cells!!!  HAHA

Here it is, my update at week 22 of my pregnancy with Miss Morgan.  Not much exciting going on - which is actually wonderful considering what all we've been through to get this far!!!!

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  11.5lb - not TOO shabby, I'm still coming in under 200lb.  I gained a whopping 47lb with Samantha - erp!

Maternity Clothes:  Absolutely!

Gender:  Another beautiful baby girl!!!  Miss Morgan Elizabeth
Movement:   Yes, and it seems she's getting more wiggly with each passing day.  Samantha actually got to feel one of her kicks last week - she said "Baby Morgan, stop kicking Mommy."  I love her so much.

Sleep:  I could certainly use a little more of this wonderful stuff.  Lately, I've been getting to sleep ok, but ultimately waking up in the middle of the night for some reason - bathroom trips, hip pain, or just b/c Owen left his nightstand light on.  Makes for a sleepy Kristen!

What I Miss:  Missing my energy this week.  I had to work the long holiday weekend and I just haven't fully recovered.  I'm hoping our trip to the lake next week will re-energize me, I have too much to do!!

Symptoms:  Other than feeling her wiggle a lot, all I'm having these days is some hip pain.  But it's SERIOUS hip pain, wakes me up in the night.  OUCH.

Best Moment(s) the past two weeks:  My BIL was in town for the holiday with his children (see this post) and on Monday, they went to the zoo.  Samantha and Owen brought me a milkshake that afternoon since I was stuck at work all day, and when I go outside to meet them Samantha shows me the stuffed armadillo she got at the zoo.  THEN, she shows me what she bought for Morgan at the zoo, and pulls a little stuffed elephant out of the bag.  She has got to be THE sweetest little girl ever and she's going to make a wonderful big sister!!

Worst Moment the past two weeks:   The hip pain.  Thankfully, I haven't had it in a few nights but one night it was so bad that I had trouble walking the next day, just felt like my hip was gonna pop out of socket at any moment...I don't like feeling like that!!

Favorite Husband Moment:  Last night before bed I was telling Owen that my lower back had been a little sore from bending over to get something (I know, should be bending at the knees....), so he gave me a REAL nice back rub.  And told me I should get another prenatal massage.  I love that man.

  1. Downfall of that second baby is your hips start expanding sooner. Glad everything else is going well.
