Happy Eats

Well, I'm getting one day closer to testing day and it's getting harder and harder to think about other things, so today I'm calling in my heavy favorite eats!

I am addicted to cupcakes.

There, I've said it.

Acceptance is the first step.  And I wouldn't dare deny that I love to eat them.  I just don't see a problem with a little indulgence every now and then!

Or...every it sometimes is for me.  No wonder I just had to pull out my bigger blue jeans.

My favorite is carrot cake.  This lovely beauty right here is from GiGi's and is SINFULLY good:

Doesn't that look tasty??

GiGi's has a different menu daily.  Among my favorites are the Lemon Dream Supreme (lemon cake with lemon filling topped with lemon buttercream), White Midnight Magic (devil's food cake topped with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips), and Miss Princess (strawberry cake topped with cream cheese frosting).  They have also just rolled out their fall/winter menu which contains some new flavors:  Candied Sweet Potato, Chocolate Salted Caramel, Banana Cream Pie, German Sweet Chocolate, Grasshopper, Pumpkin Cream, Tiramisu, and White Chocolate Macademia Nut.  Now if you know me, you know that I've already tried a few of these-Chocolate Salted Caramel, German Sweet Chocolate, Grasshopper, and Pumpkin Cream; I give props to the following:

Pumpkin Cream

Grasshopper and Pumpkin Cream-YOU ROCK!  The rest-I'm glad I tried you, but back to the drawing board GiGi's!

I could not end this blog without giving a shout out to our favorite local bakery, Muddy's Bakeshop!  Their cupckes may not be as big as GiGi's, but they are delicious and melt in your mouth, and only cost about half the price.  Muddy's has the same menu daily and it changes weekly.  Among my favorites are Prozac (chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream), Frankly Scarlett (red velvet cake topped with cream cheese frosting), and Pucker Up (lemon cake topped with lemon frosting).  They have 6 "regular" flavors and then each week they add 6 different ones to spice things up.  I really enjoy their Tomboy (chocolate cake topped with peanut butter frosting), The King (banana nut cake topped with peanut butter frosting), Mocacchino (chocolate topped with espresso buttercream), Snickerdoodle, and Sunshine (lemon cake topped with cream cheese frosting).  Not too long ago they featured one called Cinnamon Bun; it had snickerdoodle cake with cream cheese frosting and OMG...yeah, that's all I can say about it.  Here's a sneak peak at some of Muddy's yummy goodness:

Delicious!!!!!  Making me hungry already!
